FLUX 2015 is the title for this year's CAS Week of Malayan Colleges Laguna with the theme "Rediscovering the Creative Genius". It is a week - long festival of the arts - giving light to MCL students' creativity and artistic talent.

CONCEPT AND IDEAS
"FLUX," literally meaning "a continued flow", is the MCL College of Arts & Science's way of advocating continuous change. It can also be used to mean "a substance used to promote fusion."
As artists and communicators, we believe in the power of exploration, expansion, & existence.

We see these as ways to thrive in a time of obscure identities. We believe in the power of constantly giving birth to new ideas: thus, we see the beauty in everything out-of-the-box, everything art. Rediscovering the creative genius, this is FLUX 2015.

LOGO DESIGN
We created several possible logos for FLUX. The ones below are just a few of them. We decided in the end to pick a letter from the word "flux" and make a symbolic logo out of it.

Meanings of the letter X:

- X is a symbol for collaboration and remix.
- X is a symbol for rebirth.
- X is a destination or a mark.
- X is a symbol for balance.
- X in the Greek alphabet means Chi.
- X represents the unknown.
- X represents identity: to be part of a whole, and still be your own.
- X symbolizes independence.

GRAPHICS AND MATERIALS
For this, Kim rendered 35 frames to be used for online and print collaterals. The following are just some of them:

EVENT CALENDAR
FLUX 2015 lasted five days. Each day presented the students with interesting and fun activities.
PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS
We came up with different ways to promote FLUX. They are as follows:
1. An "X" everyday.
Each member of the design team was required to create two versions of the letter “X“ of their own style. They were posted on the Facebook page of FLUX. It ran from Dec. 26, 2014 up to Dec. 31, 2014. Two works were posted each day. 1st: 1PM, 2nd: 6PM.
2. Artwork submissions
The team also asked for artwork submissions from students outside of the design team. They had the option of either giving their names or become anonymous. Here are some:
3. FLUXIFIED
A photoshoot was held for some members of the FLUX team. They were required to change their profile pictures a week before the event starts.
